Varnishes & Polyurethanes
Circa 1850 AQUA Water-Based Varnish is a clear, tough coating that protects and beautifies wood. Its low odour and non-yellowing formula makes it an ideal finish for all interior wood surfaces. Circa 1850 Aqua Water-Based Varnish can be recoated in as little as 2 hours. It brings out the natural warmth of the wood and is formulated to clean up easily with water. Its micro-formulation permits clog-free spray application.
Available in GLOSS (1418), SEMI-GLOSS (1417) and SATIN (1419).
Circa 1850 AQUA Varnish can be applied onto bare, stained or finished wood. Sand new wood to obtain a smooth, uniform surface. For existing woodwork or furniture, use Circa 1850 Furniture Cleaner to remove dirt and polish.
APPLICATION: Stir contents thoroughly prior to and during application. Never shake. Wipe or brush on a thin coat of Circa 1850 AQUA Varnish using a lint-free cloth, a pure bristle brush or a lambskin applicator. Apply evenly with long strokes in the direction of the grain. Allow to dry for at least 3 hours and sand lightly using very fine sandpaper (220) or steel wool (0000). Remove all dust and apply a second coat as above. If a third coat is desired, resand and apply as above. Circa 1850 AQUA Varnish may be applied using compressed air sprayers.
DRY TIME: Allow 24 hours prior to normal use. Avoid heavy traffic on floors for at least 72 hours. Dry time may be affected by high humidity, temperatures below 20℃ (68℉), or application of thick coats.
CLEAN-UP: Clean up using warm soapy water.
